Russian state-controlled news outlets reported on Wednesday that Yevgeny Prigozhin, who leads the Wagner group responsible for the mutiny against the Russian army in June, was among the passengers listed on the plane that crashed.
Rosaviatsia, Russia’s aviation agency, confirmed this information about the crash in the Tver Region. TASS, RIA Novosti, and Interfax also released similar reports.
