The Nasarawa State Police Command has apprehended Mr. Adamu Sani, who stands accused of sexually assaulting his two nieces aged 10 and 4 in the Karu Local Government Area.
According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, these young girls were left in the care of Adamu Sani, their uncle, while their parents were away working to support the family. The girls were warned not to disclose the abuse to their parents.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police acted swiftly, apprehended the suspect, and are currently conducting an investigation into the matter. In addition to this case, two other individuals, Abdullahi Ibrahim and Muhtari Abdullahi, were arrested for allegedly raping an 8-year-old girl in an unfinished building in Akwanga LGA. Their arrest was made possible through diligent efforts by law enforcement officers.
DSP Nansel has issued a stern warning to criminals in the state, urging them to leave immediately. Once the investigations are complete at the State Criminal Investigation Department, the suspects will face charges in court.
