Following heavy rainfall in Lagos, yesterday, two people reportedly lost their lives after a building collapsed in Meiran area of Agbado-Oke-Odo Local Government Area.
The uncompleted building, housing some residents, was learnt to have caved in, midway during the heavy downpour. It was gathered that those who survived were seriously wounded.
The sad incident happened around 11:48am at No 7 Saidu Okeliji Street, Alaro Street Meiran. The state’s Emergency Response said it got a call which it responded to promptly, resulting in the rescue of a five-year old girl, Moyin, who was immediately moved to the General Hospital, Ikeja by the Lagos State Ambulance Service.
