In a tragic incident in Okanla community, Osun State, armed men, led by an individual named Naim, attacked the Olokanla of Okanla’s palace. They killed Ibrahim Qudus, an admission seeker, and set the building on fire. The attackers initially targeted the victim’s uncle’s house but, finding him absent, proceeded to the late Oba Jimoh Adigun’s former palace.
There, they encountered Qudus, who had returned home to seek university admission. They killed him, placed his body in a car on the premises, and set the vehicle and the palace on fire. The motive for the attack is uncertain, but it may be related to a land dispute in the area. The family is urging the authorities to apprehend the culprits. The Osun Police Command has dispatched additional personnel to the area, and the Commissioner of Police has visited the scene.
