Stampede:Community members die, others injured as Obijackson boss shares palliatives in Anambra

Few days after a children funfair turned bloody in Ibadan, Oyo State, leaving about 35 children dead after a stampede, another disaster has struck at Anambra State as
yet-to-be-confirmed number of people died and others injured following a stampede that occurred at the gate of the Obijackson Centre, in Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Saturday.

The event which is believed to be end-of-the year palliative sharing ceremony, occurred during the sharing of rice, vegetable oil and money.
It was gathered that victims were mostly women and children who were gathered at the gate, struggling to gain entrance amid a very large and uncontrollable crowd.

The annual palliatives sharing ceremony is donated by a billionaire business man in the community, Chief Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi, CEO of Obijackson Group.

Report has it that, many have been moved to hospitals while others dead from the stampede.
