In Kano, the police arrested a female drug lord named Ladi Peter and members of her drug cartel. The gang was involved in drug supply activities. Initially, the police intercepted the gang’s driver with seven bags of suspected Indian hemp.
Through further investigations and community support, they arrested Ladi Peter at her residence, where they found 61 bags of compressed dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, along with military uniforms and other items.
The accomplices, Umar Saleh and Ahmad Naheed, were also arrested, and all suspects confessed to the crime. The case has been transferred to the state office of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation.
The Police Commissioner warned that criminals will have no place to hide in Kano and called on residents to report incidents to the nearest police station. The police will continue rigorous patrols and raids to ensure the safety and security of the people in the state.
