A motorcylist, named Nwamaka Nwaolie is at present, cooling his feet at the police facility after he was arrested from his hide out.
Nwaolie allegedly attacked a 26-year-old woman on her way to church and raped her at Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to report, the victim boarded the motorcycle on her way to church on Sunday.
Suddenly, Nwaolie changed direction and carried the victim into a bush in Idumuine quarters, Isselu-Uku where he allegedly brutalised and raped the woman.
Sources say “The man used a plank and a cutlass to beat her till she almost died, after which he raped and left her in the bush.
“The victim was rescued by the Isselu-Uku vigilantes and rushed to the community hospital, after which she was transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.
“She was found in a critical condition in the bush by the vigilantes,” the source said.
He suspect is being detained by the police for further investigation, and would be charged to court soon.
