A principal lecturer of Edo State College of Education, Ekiadolor, Mr. Friday Osadolor has committed suicide at his Obakhavbuaye residence, off Ekenwan Road in Edo State.
According to report, his lifeless body was found hanging on a rope around his neck with a protruding tongue and the rope tied to the rail of one of the windows in his apartment.
It was recovered by the police attached to Oba Market police station.
In his 50s, the lecturer was a member of the College of Education Academic staff Union, (COEASU), and a principal lecturer at the Department of Adult education.
Osadolor was reported to have complained bitterly to close associates over his inability for lack of money to tend to his failing health and take care of his family. But he did not leave any suicide note.
Before he committed suicide he was said to have complained to some of his colleagues on Wednesday, and lamented about his inability to access medical facility and was ashamed of alwat begging friends for money to treat himself.
