A UNILAG lecturer has been ordered to be arrested by the Lagos Police for allegedly raping a 20-year-old student who visited his office to discuss her results.
The Vice Chancellor of the university is also involved in the arrest warrant issued by the Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunmi. The incident took place on August 16, 2023, according to the victim, who reported it to the Inclusive Social Welfare and Empowerment Foundation.
The university confirmed they are cooperating with the police in an ongoing investigation, though they do not have all the details at this time.
