Hon. Oladipupo Olorunrinu is member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 1.
He is also the Minority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, as the only member under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
A young man, driven by high principles and integrity, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu is a staunch believer in the dream of metropolitan city and has proven this in so many ways through active participation in progressive activities within the state.
His constituency (Amuwo-Odofin), recently became recipients of 10 passenger – capacity fibre boats donated by the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode which is believed to have been facilitated by him.
A lover of the young folks and shaper of young minds who champions the cause of effective education and literacy among the younger generation, Hon. Olorunrinu also organizes Children’s Day celebrations for children in Lagos State and also partners with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in conducting Quiz competitions for kids in the state. He has bus shuttles that provide free transportation for students within his constituency amongst others, which include poverty alleviation programmes for his people.
He didn’t just restrict his goodwill to his constituency, but to the entire Lagos Mainland as he has also made several efforts to continually and consistently spread his tentacles. He has engaged every level of the local security structures in Amuwo-Odofin in proffering lasting solutions to the issue of criminality in the area especially in Festac Town.
A politician who duly discharges his duty away from the prying eyes of the media, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu has proven himself to be a man of the people as he has taken a lot of youths off the streets thanks to his Empowerment Initiatives. Little wonder why he was awarded the InsideMainland ‘Person of the Year’ 2015.
A man with an unbridled level of loyalty to the people of Amuwo-Odofin and Lagos State at large, Hon. Oladipupo Olorunrinu’s exploits have so far etched his name in the sands of time as a man who stood for one thing: the steady progress of Lagos State and a better future for its citizens at large.
