The Kebbi State Police Command announced that it intercepted two trucks loaded with cannabis and 7,500 boxes of live cartridges, valued at N6 million, in Kebbi State. Three individuals were apprehended in connection with this illegal shipment near the Tsamiyya border in Bagudo Local Government Area.
The suspects, Emmanuel Chukwuma, Kanta Bisa, and Shola Olufon, were en route from Ghana through Benin to Lagos when they were arrested. They managed to evade nine checkpoints in Ghana and Benin before their capture.
Chukwuma claimed he was hired in Ghana and paid N400,000 for his involvement, while the second driver, Abdulrazak Agboola, from Oyo State, stated he received N200,000 to transport the 7,500 boxes of live cartridges to Lagos. The police commended their officers for their diligence in combating crime in Kebbi State and Nigeria.
