Chaos erupted at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Wednesday as an inferno broke out, prompting passengers and airline staff to flee.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 AM, originating from the basement of Terminal 1. Fortunately, the airport’s dedicated firefighters swiftly responded to the situation, bringing it under control professionally.
In prioritizing the safety of all airport users, the terminal was evacuated due to smoke in some areas. The situation is now under control, and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) remains steadfast in its commitment to safety, security, and passenger comfort.
