I don’t believe in God anymore – Kemi Badenoch

The leader of the United Kingdom (UK) Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, has revealed that she no longer believes in God.

Badenoch made this disclosure during a recent appearance on a podcast hosted by Bari Weiss, editor of Free Press.

Clarifying her stance, she stated that she is not an atheist but identifies as agnostic. She also described herself as a “cultural Christian.”

“I don’t believe in God anymore, but I am not an atheist. I am agnostic,” Badenoch explained. “I used to have a strong belief in God, but now I see myself as a cultural Christian. I don’t think belief in God is what matters—it’s what people do with their beliefs, or lack thereof, that counts.”

Badenoch also touched on her experiences with law enforcement in Nigeria and the UK. She criticized the Nigeria Police for misconduct, claiming they rob citizens instead of protecting them.

When asked if she trusts the UK police, she said: “I do. My experience with the Nigeria Police was very negative. In contrast, my experience with the British Police has been very positive.

“The police in Nigeria would rob us,” she remarked, laughing. “I remember when they stole my brother’s shoe and watch. So, when people assume I’ve had bad experiences with the police because I’m black, I say, no, it’s because of my experience in Nigeria.”
