Mrs. Ese Ogi, an aide to the wife of the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, was reportedly abducted yesterday after her husband, who was initially abducted, escaped from the hoodlums.
It was learnt that the unidentified gunmen stormed their residence in Sapele, Delta State, in the early hours of yesterday and took away the husband.
A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “The hoodlums stormed the residence of the woman at about 2a.m, Sunday, and abducted her husband.
“Somewhere along the line, while they were trying to cross the Otor River with their victim, he escaped. Angered by his action, they (hoodlums) returned to the house and abducted his wife, who is an aide to the wife of the Speaker.”
