The Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, emphasized the corps’ strong stance against indiscipline among its members.
He mentioned that four officers were dismissed for violating rules and regulations, while others were sent to detention centers to ensure compliance. Adetunji reported that the corps arrested around 7,000 criminals in over two years, with 1,500 of them facing charges in court.
He highlighted support from other security agencies and revealed that the conflict between farmers and herdsmen in the state had significantly reduced by over 95% during this period. The corps’ efforts included public enlightenment, engaging with herders, and enforcing regulations to maintain peace and security.
