Force headquarters free NLC President, Ajaero 1hr after interrogation

Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, was allowed to go after reporting to the headquarters of the Police Intelligence Response Team IRT in Abuja on Thursday and spending one hour with Operatives led by a Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Ajaero who arrived at exactly 10:17 am, left at 11.17 am after writing his statement, did not speak with the media at the IRT headquarters but only smiled.

He promised to address the media at the NLC headquarters.

Recall that the police last week invited Ajaero to the IRT headquarters on August 20 by 10 am to answer questions on his alleged involvement in terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony.

The NLC President could however, not make it, due to already scheduled obligations but promised to honour the invitation today.

He was accompanied to the IRT headquarters by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Mr. Femi Falana, Avctivist, My Deji Adeyanju, Marshal Abubakar, and top officials of the NLC.
