Nigerians that relocated into the country at about 1:43pm have been abandoned at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, alleging that they are stranded.
According to one of the passengers that spoke exclusively to Top News Magazines, she accused the officials of the Nigerian airport of neglect, and the disease control unit NCDC, a failure as all passengers were scattered around the tarmac with no one to attend to them.
“We came in with a British Airways flight at exactly 1:43 pm and till now 4:48pm(over 3hours), we are still stranded.
“Some of our luggages have also been transferred to Peace Airlines ontowards Abuja, and there are words going round that there is no facility here and that Lagos passengers may also be isolated in Abuja, despite the fact that most of us residency in Lagos.
“Some of us travelled for medical check-up, while some of us are also
fasting, yet they abandoned us.
“Europe too has been under lockdown, but their airport is effective. We have done tests before leaving the UK around 7am today, so anybody on his feet here is presumed fit, but we still expect them to carry out their check, but no one is here to do anything.
Unconfirmed report says we are going to pay for hotel accommodation of N15,000 per night excluding feeding and you will have to find your way.
“Imagine the wickedness, after paying £425 to be evacuated from UK to our country, this is very sad.”
