An Abuja-based construction engineer named Humphrey Nnaji was found dead in his apartment in the Dawaki area of the Federal Capital Territory. The engineer was attacked and killed by unidentified individuals who later fled the scene.
Nnaji’s neighbors became aware of the situation when a foul odor emanated from his apartment, prompting them to alert the police. Upon entering the premises, law enforcement officers discovered Nnaji’s decomposing body seated in a chair.
A hammer, believed to be the murder weapon, was found next to the victim, along with a written note claiming responsibility for the killing.
The note implicated someone named Alfa, who allegedly sought vengeance for his sister’s death and accused Nnaji of involvement in illicit activities. The FCT Police Command is currently investigating the case.
