Picture of Nigeria’s flag stained with blood had since gone viral, with many people giving medical advice online on how to save the persons that had been shot.
Soldiers, according to reports shot at the peaceful protesters of Lekki toll gate after the expiration of the ultimatum given by Governor Jide Sanwoolu, thereby resulting to many casualties.
It was also alleged that emergency workers that responded to calls were turned back by soldiers.
The driver of an ambulance driving away from the scene was heard telling someone, who was off camera, that military personal didn’t allow them access to where the shot protesters were.
It came as a surprise that the lights of the Lekki toll gate, as well as cameras within the area were off before the shooting of protesters went on by the soldiers, to prevent people from taking photographs and video recordings.
