Eedris Abdulkareem’s song to Tinubu: “Nigerians are suffering”

Nigerian rap artiste, Eedris Abdulkareem requested that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, should tell his father that Nigerians are facing hardship.
He passed the message across with his new song titled “Tell Your Papa,” released April 6, 2025.

The musician who is also, a social crusader, said Seyi’s recent public praise of his father shows ‘insensitivity,’ especially when many Nigerians are battling poverty, insecurity, and hunger.

“Seyi, tell your papa country hard. Tell your papa people dey die. Tell your papa this one don pass jagajaga,” he said in the track.

He also said in the track, “Seyi, how far? I swear your papa no try. Too much empty promises. On behalf of Nigerians, take our message to him; kidnappers dey kill Nigerians.

“Seyi, try travel by road without your security make you feel the pains of fellow Nigerians. You dey fly private jets, insecurity no be your problem.”

The track appears to be a direct response to a speech Seyi gave in Adamawa State last month, where he described his father as “the greatest president Nigeria has ever had.”

It will be recalled that in 2004, Eedris, released ‘Jaga Jaga’, a song that triggered the anger of the then president, Olusegun Obasanjo, which led to a ban of the song on Nigerian radio stations.

In 2023, he remixed the song with title, “Lords of Jaga Jaga”, where he threw jibes at Obasanjo and former President Muhammadu Buhari, accusing them of failed promises and worsening the situation of Nigerians.
His latest song is the message of hardship and insecurity, he is passing to President Tinubu.
