David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been honoured as an outstanding Georgian citizen, having been presented the award at the Georgian general assembly.
The musician posted on his “X” account formerly recognised as Twitter, “This morning I attended the U.S state of Georgia General assembly meeting with the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia state senate to be recognized as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen’ … God is good”
Davido, who also maintains a dual citizenship, Nigeria and USA was born in Atlanta Georgia, was recognised by the assembly for his outstanding achievement in the music industry, and having also earned a nomination at the Grammy awards.
The Georgian assembly presented a signed certificate, signed by Brad Raffensperger, the secretary of state to the Georgian assembly.
Davido in another tweet acknowledged how amazing the year have been, he posted; “2023 has been an amazing year.

This comes along with the blessings of being a father of twins as well, it’s all good times for the Afrobeat singer at the moment.
