Mrs. Amma Buwa, the daughter of Borno State House of Assembly member Bukar Abacha, was tragically strangled to death by unidentified individuals in the Gidan Dembe area of Maiduguri, the state capital. This incident, which led to the suspension of local activities, drew a large crowd of residents who gathered to witness the situation. According to a source, the incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Tuesday while the victim’s husband had left their home to attend nearby mosque for prayers.
The husband discovered his lifeless wife with her hands and legs tied behind her back upon his return, and their two-year-old child was crying beside her. A family source, who shared the news on Facebook, mentioned that the deceased would be buried in Maiduguri on Wednesday morning.
The Gwange Police Division has transported the body to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for an autopsy and further investigation.
