Bauchi mosques defy Covid-19, hold Juma’at service

According to reports, Friday prayers were held in all Juma’at mosques in Bauchi metropolis and other towns across the state yesterday despite having three confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the state. Observers that went round the metropolis said huge attendance in mosques amid the new trend of keeping sanitizers, water and detergents at the entrance for washing of hands. Coronavirus: FG finds 3,550 contacts as cases reach 190

The Director General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu has disclosed that the Government had succeeded in tracing 3,550 people who came in contact with patients infected with COVID-19 in the country. COVID-19: FG reviews lockdown as cases rise by 35

The Federal Government, in a new guideline it issued on Wednesday, stated that markets selling food would open from 10am to 2pm every other day. Also, supermarkets and pharmacies are to open from 10am to 4pm every day, but must maintain a high level of hygiene. The new guidelines also ban bus services during the lockdown.
