Fresh from baptism under the water at Jehovah’s witnesses convention hall, Ota, Ogun State, Bose Shittu, a 42 years old physically challenged woman revealed how love and affection displayed by witnesses motivated her to embrace the truth.
Baptised at the Declare Good News! 2024 Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Bose, who is a single mother said ‘There is something different about Jehovah’s Witnesses. The love they show to me and to one another is indeed remarkable.
“The unity and love among them impressed me so much that I decided to be one of them” She revealed all these to Mr Wale Igbintade, a Local Spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses at Ota, Ogun State
According to her, the journey to becoming one of Jehovah’s witnesses was not easy, as she faced resistance from her Muslim parents and neighbours, who advised her to associate with any other religion except Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She said “I struggle against constant opposition from my parents, and my neighbours. But, I did not listen to them because the sister conducting my study constantly extend practical help to me”.
Bose also revealed how watching the experience of Sister Sabina Hernandez
assisted her to engage the ministry.
“For me, watching the video of Sister Sabina Hernandez was a motivation to share the good news of God’s Kingdom with others. Sister Sabina cannot use her hands and feet, yet she constantly engaged in the ministry. So, I said to myself ‘If Sister Sabina can do it, I can do it also”.
“So, in order to attend meetings at the Kingdom Hall and participate in other theocratic activities, brothers and sisters are readily available to assist me.
“What I learned about Jehovah moved me to want to serve him. So, with the help of God’s Holy Spirit and assistance from my brothers and sisters, I decided to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses”.
