Davido pays tribute to late friend, DJ Olu

David Adeleke, afrobeat star, popularly known as Davido, has paid tribute to his late friend, Olugbemiga Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Olu, who passed away seven years ago.

Reposting a throwback picture of himself and DJ Olu on his Instagram story on Monday, Davido wrote, “Billi 4ever.”

During his lifetime, DJ Olu was the official disc jockey to Davido.

DJ Olu, son of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, was found dead alongside his friend, Chime Amaechi, in a BMW car on October 7, 2017.

They were both 25 years old at the time.

To honour DJ Olu’s memory, his family established the Gbemiga Abiodun Memorial Education Support Programme.

During the second edition of the programme on Monday, the initiative awarded a total of N91,050,000 to 1,000 students cutting across Ogun State’s primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.
