The Plateau State Police Command confirmed that a commercial driver named Fwinbe Thomas was killed in Jos by suspected hoodlums. The incident occurred after he brushed a motorcycle rider with his vehicle, leading to a chase by angry hoodlums on motorcycles who attacked and killed him along Tudun Wada Ring Road in Jos.
The spokesperson for the state Police Command, Alabo Alfred, condemned this act. The Commissioner of Police, CP Okoro Alawari, expressed strong disapproval of the unlawful killing of Mr. Fwinbe Thomas, who was found lying in a pool of blood beside a damaged Suzuki Mini Bus with the license plate KWK 536 XA.
The police suspect that the victim was beaten to death by the hoodlums, believed to be commercial motorcyclists. One of the suspects involved in the young man’s killing has been apprehended.
