On Friday, in Awka, Anambra State capital, a clash occurred between rival cult groups, resulting in the alleged shooting of two individuals suspected to be members of different cults.
The incident happened around 11 AM near Ukwuoji Bus Stop, along Zik’s Avenue. Although the exact reason for the attack remains unclear, it’s reported that the cultists entered the area, firing shots into the air in a bid for dominance.
An eyewitness mentioned that around five individuals in a tinted glass vehicle carried out the attack. They shot their victims, who were later identified as their own members, and then fled the scene while the chaos ensued.
