Adetunji Ajayi, a former civil servant, was brutally murdered by a group of criminals who invaded his home in Imasayi, a community located in the Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State. The incident occurred on Tuesday around 11 am, while Ajayi’s wife and children were away at school.
A disturbing video lasting one minute and six seconds captured Ajayi expressing his concerns about the deteriorating security situation in the community.
He pleaded with the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, to take action and ensure peace and safety in Imasayi. In the video, Ajayi highlighted the increasing insecurity, including ritualistic practices and rising cases of robbery.
As a retired teacher with 35 years of service, Ajayi emphasized that the community was lacking peace of mind and facing severe hardships. He emphasized the urgent need for resolution, stating that the community did not want conflicts and violence but were alarmed by the escalating situation.
