Approximately 90 schoolgirls at Eregi Girls High School in Kenya have fallen ill, experiencing difficulty walking and knee pain, according to a BBC report on Wednesday.
Kenyan health authorities are currently investigating this health crisis, with the affected students being admitted to hospitals. Education officials, along with the county government and public health department, have committed to providing treatment for the affected children.
Samples of blood, stool, and urine from the sick students have been sent to laboratories in Nairobi for analysis. A Ministry of Education official reassured parents that the situation was under control, and classes would continue as usual for other students.
