A senior professor at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Prof. Jimoh Olanipekun died after he fell ill, during a departmental meeting. 3-storey building collapses in Lagos, kills 3, 14 rescued

A three-storey building with a penthouse under construction has collapsed, on Oriwu Street, in Lekki area of Lagos State, killing two persons yesterday, while 14 others were rescued alive from the rubble. But the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, said six persons were rescued. The victims were labourers working at the site located at House 29, Oriwu Street. The Lagos State Police Command has dismissed reports of the alleged ritual killing of a 28-year-old Lagos State University graduate, Adedamola Ogunbode.
