Jelili Sulaimon, Chairman of Alimosho LGA, was on Monday suspended by the Lagos State House of Assembly indefinitely. During its plenary session, the Assembly resolved that the vice chairman of the council, Akinpelu Johnson, should immediately assume the role of chairman. The federal government through the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that the federal government will not subsidise hajj payment for pilgrims in 2025. Michael Atiba and Michael Ugbeye, two medical doctors, are currently standing trial at the Ikeja High Court of Lagos State, presided over by Justice Oyindamola Ogala, for the death of a patient, Ejiro Ugorobi. Woman arrested for torturing toddlers in Adamawa

A 37-year-old woman, Fatima Abubakar, in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State has been arrested for allegedly torturing two toddlers under her care.
