Olubunmi Ajayi, a 30-year-old mother, has been arrested by Ogun State Police yesterday, for attempting to drown her five-month-old baby, Imole Anifowose, in RSS river, Sagamu. One Olusola Sonaya, who was fortunate to be around the river, was said to have assisted in rescuing the baby after her mother threw her into the water. 24 suspected internet fraudsters undergoing training in a hidden academy in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). A father, Ademola Oladimeji, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by Justice Abiola Soladoye of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court, on Monday, for sexually assaulting his three children. The children were aged five, seven, and nine. While delivering judgment, the judge held that the evidence of the prosecution witnesses were believable and truthful.
