Official data on Wednesday showed that British inflation surged to a new 40-year high in July on rising food prices, adding to a cost-of-living crisis as the country faces the prospect of recession. Four students reportedly drown at Lagos beach

Four teenagers reportedly drowned on Tuesday at the Elegushi Beach, in the Lekki area of Lagos State, while swimming in the water. It was gathered that 10 secondary school leavers, aged between 14 and 15, went to swim at the beach to celebrate the completion of their West African Senior School Examination.
