The Edo state police command has rescued seven teenagers from being trafficked overseas. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Philip Ogbadu, who disclosed this in Benin on Friday, said the victims were rescued following an intelligence report. He said the victims, who were rescued on Thursday, included six girls and a male, who were allegedly billed to be trafficked to Cote d’Ivoire and Libya. Four dead as gunmen attack Imo Police station
Unidentified gunmen reportedly attacked Orsu Police Station in Imo State. Subsequent gun duel between some operatives of the police and the bandits have claimed the life of a Police Inspector. Also, three of the bandits lost their lives, while others escaped with bullet wounds. The hoodlums also bombed parts of the station with explosives.
