United Methodist Church vows to breakup from global body over gay marriage

The United Methodist Church Episcopal Area in Nigeria has threatened to leave the Church’s global body if it endorses same-sex marriage at its 2022 General Conference. Bishop Johnwesley Yohanna of UMCN said at a news conference on Wednesday, that the Nigerian chapter would also leave if the global body endorses the ordination of gay people at the conference. Parcels of cocaine, heroin being shipped to UK, Ireland intercepted by NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted well-concealed parcels of cocaine and heroin being shipped to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. A suspected notorious trafficker, Sikiru Owolabi, who is behind at least two of the parcels, has been traced and arrested after several days of thorough and systematic surveillance by NDLEA operatives. Amotekun arrests nine herders, impounds100 cows in Ondo

Men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, code-named Amotekun Corps, impounded no fewer than 100 cows for breaching the anti-grazing orders of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu aimed at curbing farmers/herders clashes in the state. The cows were arrested alongside nine herdsmen along Akure/Ilesa Road on Sunday evening after causing hiccups on the highway.
