The High Court sitting in Akure, Ondo State yesterday, ordered that the Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc depot in Akure be sealed off pending the settlement of their tax liabilities to the state government. Justice William Akinrotoye also granted the cross-petition of the state government for the recovery of N169.175 million from the company, being the haulage fees it owed for the period 2017 to 2019. Chinese expatriates abducted by labourers in Osun
Some labourers hired by three Chinese miners have been reportedly abducted on a mining site located at Akere Village near Ifewara, Osun State. Before the men were abducted, it was gathered that a policeman attached to the expatriates was killed. The abduction, it was learnt, occurred following a disagreement between the expatriates and the labourers, said to be mainly northerners, hired to work on the site.
