A 40-year-old Filipino lady, Irene Panas has been rescued by Police personnel in Enugu. She was allegedly held hostage by one Chukwudi Odo, whom she met on Facebook in 2019. Panas, an accountant based in Manila, was lured to Nene-Uno village in the Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, where she spent six months, while being sexually abused by her supposed lover. A 39-year-old man, Chris Ndukwe, has reportedly committed suicide after stabbing his lover, Olamide Alli, to death at his place of residence on the Victory Point Estate in the Ilasan area of Lagos State. Taiwo Odetunde, 27, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping two minors. The tailor was alleged to have lured the girls, aged 13 and 14, who were said to be friends, with the promise of sewing nose masks for them and raped them.
