Bayelsa state relaxes social gathering order, raises number to 200

Douye Diri, Bayelsa State Governor, has agreed to allow churches with big auditoriums to have not more  than 200 members during Sunday services. This was contained in a statement   on Wednesday by the Chairman of the state COVID-19 Task Force’s sub-committee on churches, Pastor Samuel John-Peters. Two weeks ago, Diri directed that big churches could accommodate 50 worshippers during services, while small churches could have 20. COVID-19 fraud: Bolivia’s health minister sacked

‌ Marcelo Navajas, Bolivia’s health minister, has been arrested on suspicion of corruption related to the over-priced purchase of ventilators to fight COVID-19, the police chief said on Wednesday. Navajas was detained by police in La Paz, Colonel Ivan Rojas said, a day after interim President Jeanine Anez ordered an investigation. Two other health ministry officials have also been arrested.
