Twitter to ban all political advertising by November

Social media platform, Twitter says it will ban all political advertising worldwide, saying that the reach of such messages “should be earned, not bought”. “While internet advertising is incredibly powerful and very effective for commercial advertisers, that power brings significant risks to politics,” says the company’s CEO Jack Dorsey in a tweet. First governor of Lagos State, Mobolaji Johnson dies at 83

Brig. Gen. Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson, the first governor of Lagos State, is dead. According to reports, Johnson, died on Wednesday, afternoon around 4:00 pm at the age of 83. Johnson was Lagos State governor between May 1967 and July 1975 under Gen. Yakubu Gowon who was then, the military Head of State. Four years after he left office, 1979 precisely, he became a director of a foremost construction company in Nigeria, Julius Berger Nigeria. 3rd Quarter: Union Bank’s profit rises by N15.6 bn

One of Nigeria’s oldest financial institutions, Union Bank Nigeria Plc has recorded a profit before tax of N15.6 billion for its unaudited financial statement for the period ended September 30, 2019, Q3’19 representing a growth of five per cent from N14.9 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2018. Court of Appeal Judge, Chioma Nwosu abducted, police orderly shot dead

Unknown gunmen, on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 kidnapped one of the justices of the Benin Court of Appeal, Justice Chioma Nwabuzor, after killing the police orderly attached to her.
